History

 

The current building of Groves Middle School was opened to students in 2010. The principals who have guided the staff and students at the current school have been James Arnett, Dr. Paul Bryan and Brett McPhatter.

The groundbreaking for the current Groves Middle school building was on June 3, 2008.

The prior building at this location was opened in 1959 as Woodlawn Junior High School. The name was changed to Groves Middle School at some point in 1982, according to the PNGISD High School website history page.
